Olivia and Shea: Off the Streets and Ready for Loving Homes

Picasso Veterinary Fund in Action! (September 2010)

Olivia and Shea both have had a rough time. But they're doing just fine now, and they both are looking for a home.

Olivia, a gray tabby cat, was hit by a car when she was just four months old, and the Picasso Veterinary Fund paid for her medical treatment. Even when her leg was in a cast, the minute she saw a person, she would get up, hobble over to them, and purr. She is now fully recovered from her injury, and is eager to find a new adoptive family. Olivia has been spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV. All of her medical costs have been covered by the Fund.

Shea was rescued from the street. This good-natured ten-year-old Beagle mix (with some Lab and Golden Retriever thrown in for good measure) is adorable and petite — only 30 pounds — and can't wait to find a home to call her own. Aside from a little arthritis, for which she takes an inexpensive supplement, and having a few benign fatty lumps — Shea's health is good. She's a mellow little lady, but she really enjoys walks around the neighborhood. Shea likes other dogs and has no issues with cats. She'll make a great addition to most any family!

Rescued from the street, mellow senior Beagle mix Shea is looking for a new adoptive home.

Olivia and Shea both deserve a second chance, and the Picasso Veterinary Fund has given them that gift. Now we're looking for some special humans to provide them with the gift of a new home.

If you or someone you know is interested in adopting either Olivia or Shea, please contact us at picasso@AnimalAllianceNYC.org, or view their Petfinder profiles.

Maybe you'd like to help by making a tax-deductible donation to the Picasso Veterinary Fund. It can go a long way to helping dogs and cats like Olivia and Shea get the medical care they need and another shot at a happy home.

We appreciate your support, and so do Olivia and Shea!
